Whether Dirk realizes it or not, Ranboo can feel the way he's tensing against him, the physical recoil from Ranboo's own reaction, and it makes them feel bad. There's a whole lot to unpack here, but... the only thing that Ranboo can say for sure right off the bat is that whatever Dirk's brothers did to him wasn't his fault.
